Liverpool and Manchester United will have to pay around £50 million to sign Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha this summer.
The Portuguese was on the radar of both clubs last summer but he ended up joining the Cottagers from Sporting Lisbon.
He has since been fantastic for the west Londoners in the centre of the park and has made 129 tackles in the Premier League.
It is now reported by Football Insider that he is attracting high-profile interest with Liverpool and United among his admirers.
The Cottagers are aware of the same and it is claimed that they will hold out for at least £50 million to sanction his departure.
Liverpool‘s main priority for now is Alexis Mac Allister but they could also pursue another specialist defensive midfielders.
United, on the other hand, have Casemiro for the number six role but may want to bring a strong competitor for the position.
They could part ways with Scott McTominay and replace him with Palhinha, who was regularly scouted by them at Sporting.
