The Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced), has introduced a revised syllabus for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) from 2023. The new syllabus for the IIT entrance exam has been published on the official website at https://jeeadv.ac.in/ for students.
The JEE (Advanced) 2023 revised curriculum is now available online. All three subjects included by JEE Advanced have been changed. According to the official notice on the website, the subjects are Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics.
Changes In JEE Advanced 2023 Syllabus
- The new Physics section syllabus includes topics such as, General Physics, Mechanics, Thermal Physics, Electromagnetic Waves, and other topics.
- The states of matter: Gases and Liquids, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, and Molecular Structure will be covered in the Chemistry section.
- Sets, Relations, and Functions, Algebra, and Mathetics are among the topics to be covered in the Mathematics section.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced is the only way for students to get admission to undergraduate programmes at the IITs. Students can enroll in undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Architecture at the IITs through JEE Advanced. In view of the COVID-19 outbreak, academic qualification criteria were eased this year.
Only the top 2.5 lakh students who pass the JEE Main (for engineering admission) are eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam.
The exam was held on 03 October 2021, and the results for JEE Advanced 2021 were declared on 15 October. Out of the 1,41,699 students that took the exam, 41,862 received passing scores. Mridul Agarwal of the Delhi zone bagged first position with a score of 348 out of 360 in the exam. This year, he also received a perfect 100 percentile score in the JEE-Main exam. Meanwhile, Kavya Chopra, another Delhi zone applicant, was the female JEE Advanced topper, scoring 286 out of 360.
