It’s a ‘Back to Pavilion’ for Congress in Karnataka Assembly Election 2023:
The Election Commission of India on May 13, 2023; came with the final verdict of the public by declaring the result of the Assembly Election that was held on May 10, 2023.
Karnataka has 5.2 million registered voters, according to Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar. The population of Karnataka voted for their bright and secure future in every aspect on May 10, 2023. As a result of the election; conducted on The 10th of May, 2023; Congress emerged as the single largest party to rule the state for the coming 5 years!
Prior to the Assembly Election of Karnataka 2023, Karnataka was the only southern state where the BJP held power, and it was the single-largest party in the 2018 Election, with 104 seats in the 224-member legislature. But this time, the state mirrored their intention and the scenario got metamorphosized.
The general public of Karnataka embraced Congress with open hearts and as a result, the population of Karnataka showed their interest in the oldest political party of India, i.e.; Indian National Congress, colloquially as the Congress Party. The Congress party proved itself in the Indian state of Karnataka again and won the faith and confidence of the public.
With a total win of 136 seats in Karnataka, the Congress party again gained the ruling position of the state. The Congress won a solid majority in Karnataka, signaling a shift in power from the BJP’s lone southern bulwark. This anti-incumbency triumph has strengthened the morale of Congress leaders and workers ahead of the next Lok Sabha Elections.
DK Shivakumar, President of the Karnataka Congress, wins with the largest margin in the state, defeating BJP’s B Nagaraju with 1,22,392 votes.
