European markets advanced on Friday with the pan-European Stoxx 600 gained. Insurance stocks added 1.3% to lead gains as almost all sectors and major bourses entered positive territory.
Asian stocks also climbed led by Japan’s Nikkei 225 which gained over 2%, the Taiwan index also up 1.62% and the Kospi index climbed 0.73%.
Meanwhile, U.S. stock futures were pointing to a strong open on Wall Street later in the day.
As per media reports, US President Joe Biden will later on Friday lay out a $6tn annual budget proposal incorporating large-scale infrastructure and social investment programmes.
Brent crude, the global oil benchmark, was 0.3% higher at $69.65 a barrel.
