Kalvin Phillips to reject Man Utd move

Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has no plans of leaving the club for arch-rivals Manchester United this summer.

The 26-year-old has endured an injury-plagued campaign with the Whites, but he is still regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders in England.

Ahead of the summer, United are weighing up a £60m bid for his services, but The Mail claims that Phillips is unlikely to entertain a move to Old Trafford.

Phillips is a big-fan favourite, having graduated through the youth ranks at Leeds. He does not want to anger the club’s faithful by crossing the divide.

Meanwhile, there are claims that he could commit to a new long-term contract with the Yorkshire outfit, provided his requirements are fully met.

Phillips currently has two years left on his contract. He may want a significant hike on his current wages to put pen-to-paper on a renewal.

Leeds are presently five points clear of 18th-placed Everton, but the Toffees have played two games less and have a better goal difference.
