Delhi University to Prepare Merit List Based on Normalised Marks of CUET Exam!

Delhi University has released its criteria regarding the preparation of the merit list today. As per news available on a leading daily, the university is going to consider the normalised marks of the CUET exam to draft the merit list. Reports also suggested that this year, the university will be picking at least 70,000 students to fill the seats of 67 colleges.

The university has already completed the first phase of registration on September 12, 2022. The second phase of registrations for admission to Delhi University will begin on September 26, 2022. This is going to help them in choosing the college preference for admission. With that, the university will declare its final merit list on October 10, 2022. The candidates will also be required to fill out the registration for inclusion in the CSAS (Common Seat Allocation System).

Know About Delhi University!

The merit list shall be drafted by considering marks scored in subjects listed in categories A and B. The maximum mark allotted for the merit list is 800 marks. Category A consists of 33 languages with candidates choosing one subject. Whereas category B is further divided into two sub-parts, B1 having 18 academic subjects and B2 having 9 vocational subjects.

Apart from this, the following criterias have to be considered for choosing the combination list.
Those opting for the B.Com Honours course have to include Mathematics or Accountancy.
Candidates opting for the B.Com course can include CUET test scores.
Candidates willing to opt for Economics Honours have to include Mathematics subjects.
The basic criteria for getting admission to the B.Sc course is scoring 30% marks in all the subjects.

Candidates have to choose one subject from category A and one subject from B1 or B2. Or they can also choose subjects from category A, one subject from category B along with marks of the Aptitude section accounting for 700 marks.
