Delhi University likely to commence DU UG admission process by May end

DU University 2023: The Delhi University is all set to kickstart the admission process for undergraduate courses for the academic year 2023-24 through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS). According to a senior official, the university is planning to begin the process by the end of May. The university will launch two separate portals for admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Aspirants who wish to get into DU will have to appear for the CUET (UG)-2023 and CUET (PG)-2023, as well as register on the CSAS UG and PG portal of the DU. Last year, the university conducted admission through the CUET for the first time and is hopeful that this year, the admission process would be smoother. The official also added that the university is fully prepared to take admissions to UG and PG programmes through the CUET.

This year, the university is opting for the Common University Entrance Test for admission to postgraduate programmes for the first time. The maximum number of applications for CUET (UG) has been received for the Delhi University, followed by Banaras Hindu University, Allahabad University, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, and Jamia Millia Islamia. The exam is scheduled to be conducted from May 21-31.

Despite the university’s best efforts, it failed to fill all the 70,000 seats in the current academic session as seven per cent of the seats across all its colleges remained vacant. However, the officials are confident about conducting the admission process smoothly this year.
