This is one of multiple collaborations between Chris Evans and Ana de Armas. Along with co-starring as part of the ensemble cast of the original Knives Out from Rian Johnson, Evans and de Armas also appeared together in the Russo Brothers’ Netflix movie The Gray Man. Despite those prior collaborations, Evans has also said that the characters the two play in Ghosted are unlike what fans have seen before from Evand and de Armas.

Ghosted is a romance/adventure in the vein of Romancing the Stone,” Evans told People. “I love working with Ana. She’s an incredibly versatile actress and really fun on set. Neither of us have played characters like this and audiences are in for a really fun ride.”

Meanwhile, while there have been rumors of Evans returning to the MCU, he insists he’s finished as Captain America. What we know is that he will be co-starring with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the upcoming holiday action movie Red One, another anticipated release. He’s also attached to David Yates’ upcoming conspiracy drama Pain Hustlers with Emily Blunt and Andy Garcia. As for de Armas, the Blonde star and Oscar nominee is currently hard at work on Ballerina, the John Wick spinoff movie.

Ghosted will premiere on Apple TV+ on April 21, 2023.
